Marketing Specialist:

Overview: We are looking for an ambitious and effective Marketing Specialist to be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our marketing strategy. You will focus on creating, implementing, tracking and optimizing our digital and traditional marketing across various communications and marketing channels.

To be successful as a Marketing Specialist, you must be highly self-motivated, proactive, and have a working knowledge of current marketing tools and strategies in order to execute successful strategic marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing marketing plans.
• Undertaking competitor research and analyses.
• Conducting market research to identify customer trends and habits.
• Establishing goals and objectives in order to reach new and existing customers through appropriate marketing channels (digital and traditional).
• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking.
• Promoting brand awareness through marketing efforts.
• Creating marketing materials for our website, social media and other marketing platforms.
• Building and maintaining effective internal communications and relationships through newsletters, events and promotions.
• Manage advertising placements and submit receipts for reimbursements.
• Create and update internal and external communications and recruiting material (digital and traditional).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field.
• 3 or more years of marketing experience (digital and traditional) preferably in a Service/Retail environment or related area.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of digital and social marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn, and digital marketing strategies through tools such as Google Adwords.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to problem-solve, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• A self-starter who would describe them self as a “make it happen” person.
• Strong analytical skills.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and evening events that will require your participation and presence. (1-2 nights per year)

Travel:

You may be asked to travel with a possible overnight stay of 1-2 nights per year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
