The Specialized P.E. Teacher (P.E. Teacher Therapist) is responsible for instructing elementary school students or junior/senior high school students with severe emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities in a program of physical education. Positively motivates students to develop appropriate skills, attitudes, and knowledge; utilizes a variety of instructional techniques appropriate for students’ abilities; and creates a safe and orderly learning environment. Develops, implements, and coordinates wellness activities that promote and encourage physical fitness, good hygiene and healthy behaviors.

PAY: $42,744 – $53,430/year starting, based on experience and education, paid over school breaks
WORK HOURS: Full-time, generally 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.
