The Art of Makeup School Hiring for Special Effects Makeup Instructor Job at Atlanta, GA Full Time

The Art of Makeup School is a boutique specialized trade school that prepares students to work as professional makeup artists for every path in the industry. We are looking for an instructor with strong character and special fx makeup skills to teach all or a portion of our 7 week prosthetic and character makeup program that begins Oct 25th, 2021. This program requires skills such as aging makeup techniques and prosthetic application, mustache and beard hair laying, ventilation and punching, blood tubing, bald cap fabrication and application, sculpting, mold making, life casting, and prosthetic fabrication.

We hope to find an artist with teaching experience, but not required. We are also looking for someone with experience and production credits. Flights, local transportation and accommodations are included. This is also a relocation opportunity for regular yearly work and a part-time income with time to free-lance between programs and workshops.

Able to act without guidance and independently

Excellent at communication and explanation

Adaptable and comfortable being around young adults

Patient, calm and supportive

Flexible for longer days as necessary

Work Experience:

At least 4 years working as a professional makeup artist

Duties Include:

Demonstrations and lectures

Assisting, critiquing and grading students

Hours:

5 days a week from 10am – 5:00pm with flexibility for days that go late and scheduled days that start earlier or go later.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $1,250.00 – $1,500.00 per week

Schedule:
