Purpose of the Role:

This role reports into and supports the Head of HR to provide an efficient and compliant HR service to the Ardonagh Specialty Platform.

You will develop, influence and support on a number of HR Projects and initiatives for the business, including M&A projects, employee relations issues, recruiting, processes and policy updates and issuance. You will also work to ensure our senior leadership / certified management population is compliant with the regulatory framework and that conduct rules are deeply embedded and followed diligently by all our employees.

This role will work closely with all Stakeholders, Resourcing, HR and L&D teams.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Generalist Responsibilities:

• Keep up to date with any issues which might affect HR activities, ensure managers are working within HR policies and processes and applying best practice.
• Issuing Employee Relation advice and guidance in line with HR policy and procedures
• Contribute to HR projects/initiatives (mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, etc.)
• Assist in the devolvement of improving our processes and systems
• Work in collaboration, and as ‘One Team’ within HR across Specialty and Group HR on key areas of concern
• Assist and support HR team (L&D, Resourcing, Engagement) with generalist HR administration
• Ensure HR system of record is kept up to date
• Support HRBP’s on polices and people framework
• Generalist HR administration and support, i.e; mail merges, data/MI reporting, communications
• Support the L&D team with any data feed conflicts from HR system into Learning Management System
• Actively promote the L&D offerings with your stakeholders
• Build effective and trusted relationships with stakeholders and their teams
• Coaching and training managers on HR processes (i.e. successful onboarding)

Regulatory Framework:

• Positively raise awareness on the FCA requirements and regulation guidelines and processes. Influence and challenge the business and stakeholders where necessary
• Maintenance of regulatory documentation, including assessments, background screenings, role profiles, objectives and skills assessments.
• Producing monthly reports for HRBP’s
• Assist in the productions of responsibilities mapping
• Working with L&D on the development of training session for managers

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience within a HR team
• Commercial awareness of a regulated environment
• Experience in Financial or Professional Services is desired
• Business acumen
• Studying towards OR Associate member of CIPD
• Knowledge of core HR functions i.e L&D, Reward and Operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
