The Apprentice School Men’s Basketball Hiring for Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach (Recruiting Coordinator) at Newport News, VA Full Time

Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement basketball training programs for players of all ages and skill levels
– Teach fundamental basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
– Recruit qualified student-athletes and maintain recruiting database
– Provide guidance and support to players during games and practice
– Evaluate players’ strengths and weaknesses to create personalized development plans
– Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
– Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate schedules and events

Requirements:
– Extensive experience playing basketball at a competitive level
– Previous coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level
– Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with players, parents, and staff
– Ability to effectively manage behavior and maintain discipline during practices and games
– CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: Up to $5,500.00 per year

• 4 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Weekend availability
