On behalf of my client, I am currently looking for an absolute Expert in Tax Planning to join their office in Rockhampton. The firm prides itself on having a genuinely brilliant culture. The business is big on training & development and ensures that everyone, from Graduate to Partner is equipped with the right tools and skills to provide high-level advice.
About the role:
- Preparation of financial statements, business activity statements and income tax returns for all entity types
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
- Able to demonstrate good commercial judgement and knowledge
- Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory agencies on the client’s behalf
- Monitoring and reporting any relevant tax-related changes, assessing those and implementing changes based on your judgement
About you:
- Tertiary degree in accounting/finance or a similar qualification
- Proficient with software such as Xero, MYOB, Reckon, QuickBooks and Microsoft Suite
- At least two years of local experience in a public practice environment
- Proven ability to manage and build relationships with clients
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to think on your feet
