Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum DOE + benefits

This is an interesting and varied role providing in which you will be responsible for project support, financial control, decision support and process improvement across a range of disciplines from within the Finance Systems team.
What will I be doing?

• Offer advanced knowledge of financial accounting practices and principles across the Finance Systems.
• Undertake ad hoc project support and analysis of costs/income to enable the business to better understand the cost/income drivers and support the business decision making process.
• Identify and implement process improvement and automation within Finance
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are embedded into projects, financial systems, and processes.
• Understand the core processes and areas of risk within the business area and work with the management team to mitigate them.
• Offer commercial insights and contribute to business proposals.
• Embed a strong financial controls infrastructure.
• Define reporting data formats and hierarchies for new business ventures and projects.
• Lead the integration into Shared Services of Company acquisitions and new business
• Be responsible for drafting policy proposals and recommend and implement new processes with limited guidance from manager.
• Support and develop staff.
• Ensure GAAP compliance is embedded into change requirements and projects.
• Ensure adherence to the FCA Treating Customers Fairly 6 Consumer Outcomes.

What do I need?

Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with experience gained in similar working environment.
• Strong process and finance systems skills
• Proven track record in process improvement and automation
• Advanced professional knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Highly skilled in Excel.
• SAP experience, (journal entry, ledger interrogation, using and understanding reports).
