Thames Water Utilites Hiring for Assistant Project Manager- Resourcing Job at Reading, England Full Time

Open to full-time hours 36 hours per week, or reduced hours over a 5 day week.

What you will be doing

We are excited to launch our search for an Assistant Project Manager, Resourcing, on a 9 month FTC, this role plays a critical role in the implementation and delivery of our resourcing plan designed to fill the current +300 vacancies in our Water Networks, within our operations business unit.

The role will work with the Project Manager, Resourcing to shape the recruitment strategy, then drive and maintain the momentum of our recruitment campaigns, ensuring that critical roles are prioritised, and efficiencies are maximised.

You will work closely with the Resourcing team and relevant HR Business Partners to troubleshoot and resolve both internal and external barriers to success. The role will also support forecasting and workforce planning to enable the business to respond proactively to future recruitment needs.

We’re looking for you to:

• Have proven experience in managing large recruitment campaigns, 300+ – ensuring all are informed on the progress of the campaigns and provided with regular analytical reports and people resource forecasting and management
• Have a passion for providing the highest standard, ensuring that timescales are met for critical roles, and hold the line on accountability when they are missed
• Confident in Stakeholder management at all levels with the ability to communicate persuasively and engage across diverse cultures, languages, work styles, and personalities
• Able to drive efficiencies in all areas of the projects – by continuously seeking out new and improved ways to streamline the attraction, recruitment and onboarding processes
• Able to identify risk and work in a high demanding environment and overcome challenges by creating and offering solutions
  
• Background within project management – PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent would be beneficial

This role within our Water Network function, so an Engineering background would be desirable but not essential
