The Department
The finance department provides support to all areas of the business, ensuring we deliver accurate, timely and relevant financial information. The focus of the department is to ensure all of the financial reporting and day to day finance needs are met, these include areas such as budgetary control, cashflow management, management accounts, statutory accounts, purchase ledger, subcontract ledger, sales ledger, project appraisal and joint venture accounting.

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to work in the finance team reporting to the Financial Controller.
The Job Role
The role holder’s primary responsibility will be for supporting the month end accounting and reporting processes together with the annual budget process. This will include but not be limited to:

• The preparation & posting of prepayments, accruals & journals including staff recharges.
• The reconciliation of the company bank accounts & cash books
• The processing of revenue transactions and associated costs of sales journals and adjusting profit % when required after review with the Financial Controller
• Certifications for payment for housing associations & clients, sales ledger invoicing where required.
• Support the financial controller in the planning and execution of the annual group budget process including the preparation of related Board reporting
• Preparation and review of rolling cash flow forecast to provide robust visibility of short-term cash flow
• Review and analysis of group reporting cash forecast including variance analysis for inclusion within the Board reporting
• Provide support and cover as required within the broader finance team

This list is not exhaustive. Tasks will be allocated to reflect increasing levels of development and experience.

The Required Skills

• Preferred – ACCA/CIMA part qualified
• Significant relevant work experience, preferably in real estate development and partnerships.
• Prior experience of budget process including balance sheet and cash flow
• Effectively and pro-actively manage their time
• Work within a strong team environment
• Ability to assess and analyse
• Strong and demonstrable track record of interacting well with large range of stakeholders across the business
