Process Operator
12 months Contract. Two locations available :

Markham (must be open to all shifts, day/afternoon/nights) Please note you will be tested for Pencillen allergy.

Stouffville location (midnight shifts only)

The Process Operator will be responsible for safely manufacturing product through operating various equipment in accordance with the master batch record. Ensures compliance with applicable and related SOPs and GMPs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accurately performs duties in accordance with SOP, GMPs, MBR, Environmental, Health & Safety procedures, Equipment Manuals Job Aids and working instructions.
• Accurately completes all GMP documentation in their area of responsibility.
• Accurately performs ERP data entry and transactions as required. Notifies Supervisor when processing issues, product quality concerns and safety incidents occur on the shop floor.
• Dismantles, cleans, assembles and sets-up processing equipment/rooms according to the Equipment Manuals, Working Instructions and Job Aids.
• Ensures the proper selection, care and use of tools, parts and equipment
• Prepares and completes the necessary documents, including labels, logbooks, etc.
• Effectively operates equipment and able to identify issues in a timely manner and escalates to the appropriate level for resolution.
• Move and store materials in appropriate areas of facility, as required per department/Site
• Engages in OpEx activities/ initiatives such as OEE, SMED, RCPS, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum successful completion of High school diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology is an asset
• Demonstrated knowledge of SOP’s, GMP’s and Health and Safety procedures, including, OH&S Act WHMIS is preferred
• 1+ of experience in dispensing, compounding, coating, tableting or encapsulation is preferred
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 20 kgs. on a regular basis

Packaging Operator – Night shift, 1 year contract

2 locations available : Markham (pencillen allergy testing will be required) and Scarborough

The Packaging Operator I packages products by operating various equipment in accordance with the master packaging order (MPO) and in compliance with EH&S policies, GMPs, and controlled procedures (SOP, EM, WI, JA, etc.) and performing troubleshooting and setup in a basic capacity, as required per Department/Site

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs duties in accordance with the master packaging order (MPO) and in compliance with EH&S policies, GMPs, and controlled procedures (SOP, EM, WI, JA, etc.)
• Completes all GMP documentation (MPO, controlled procedures, labels, logbooks, validation documentation, etc.) in accordance with Data Integrity, in their area of responsibility
• Independently runs at least two (2) process types, performs all required in process checks (IPCs), and replenishes bulk and packaging components. Performs ERP data entry and transactions, and verification checks as required
• Conducts basic troubleshooting: Identifies issues and reacts to resolve (i.e. reset and fine tune equipment) within area of responsibility
• Conducts basic equipment setup: Programming batch information, setup and configuration of equipment) includes dismantling, cleaning, and assembly of processing equipment/rooms according to controlled procedures within area of responsibility
• Notifies Supervisor when processing issues, product quality concerns and safety incidents occur
• Ensures the proper care, use and condition of tools, equipment, rooms, and GMP area
• Retrieve, move and store materials in appropriate areas of facility, as required per Department/Site
• Supports and engages in OPEX activities/ initiatives (OEE, SMED, RCPS, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
• Acts as a coach and supports training of new employees

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum successful completion of High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technologist Diploma or a university degree in a related science field
• 1 + year experience in production environment Preferred: 1 year experience in pharmaceutical packaging environment
• Basic working knowledge of Windows, Oracle MSCA
• Successful completion of the literacy and numerical evaluation is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMPs, EH&S procedures, including OH&S Act, WHMIS
• General knowledge of Pharmaceutical or comparable GMP industry
