The Position

We have an opportunity for a Country Finance Lead to support our growth in ANZ. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial management for ANZ and the integration of all business performance parameters while providing financial insights to the business. You will be the voice of a strong bottom-line focus on the country leadership team.

This is a key strategic role that will utilize your effective leadership capabilities and business partnering skills in order to achieve financial objectives. Your focus will be on delivering key business outcomes and monitoring ongoing business performance to contribute and drives sustainable value in the business.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Be a key strategic business partner to the ANZ Leadership team in achieving short and long-term financial objectives.
• Provide critical financial and operational support to commercial leaders to make pragmatic recommendations concerning strategy and operations.
• Provide analysis and insight to prioritize resource allocation to areas where value can be generated and ensure business decisions are based on sound financial criteria.
• Lead and facilitate the financial commercial planning and forecasting process.
• Provide ongoing support regarding pricing and discounts, compensation, quality checks, contracts and tenders, licensing vs. sub-contracting, customer service levels, expenses and expense control.
• Understand, assess and take actions on financial risks.
• Review and approve all financial statements in a country, including local statuary reporting and reports for US GAAP purposes and serve as a director of local legal entities’ boards.
• Represent legal entity externally and internally.
• Manage the team and retain top talent through talent identification, active performance management, and succession planning and employee development.

The successful candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Accounting. CPA and/ or MBA will be desirable
• At least 7 years of experience in finance leadership
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, SOX and ANZ financial regulations
• Advanced practical experience in financial planning
• Experience in ERP implementation
• Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills with ability to work effectively in a complex, matrix environment
• Strategic mindset coupled with strong understanding of the commercial business and processes
