The Role

Factory Software Technicians support the manufacturing floor for various needs. These could include coordinating / delegating task, troubleshooting various IT issues, maintaining printers, reviewing SOPs, processing data, and implementing tactical support of changes.

The successful candidate should be able to effectively lead the team and motivate and build a strong team through positive relationships.

Please note that this position requires you to be onsite full time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate / Delegate task to MES technicians
• Be able to resolve issues quickly and precisely to completion and prioritize multiple tasks
• Demonstrate and maintain a zero downtime mentality in words and actions by tackling each issue swiftly and intelligently
• Manage heavy workload with a positive attitude
• Able to perform repetitious detail assignments and data processing
• Work with multiple departments in high pressure urgent need scenarios
• Resolve issues quickly and precisely to completion and prioritize multiple tasks
• Provide on call support and act as incident manager for swing and graveyard shifts when on call or working shift on site
• Troubleshoot basic network, software, printing problems
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Good understanding of Windows OS
• 2 years’ experience supporting Windows desktop / laptop computers
• Degree or working towards a degree in computer science or industrial engineering is a plus
• Proven experience with Microsoft Excel
• Must be flexible to work weekends and any shift
• IT experience is a plus
• Knowledgeable in SQL and Splunk is a plus
• Must be able to carry heavy work equipment, occasionally exceeding 20 pounds, while standing and walking for extended periods
