To help us achieve this we’re looking for a People Services Advisor to join our Diversity and People team.

This is a diverse role working within the People Shared Services team to support the smooth processing of people activities on behalf of the Diversity and People department and wider business. This role will provide advice and support to people leaders and team members in relation to queries about award and policy interpretation, employee entitlements, people processes, advising leaders on performance counselling and other employee relations matters as well as support the contract administration, employee lifecycle activities and contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the People Services offering.

About The Role

ing to the People Services Manager, key responsibilities include:

• Providing generalist advice, supporting employee life cycle activity and programs
• Coordinate and perform administrative tasks associated with the employee lifecycle including triage and resolution of People Services enquires
• Facilitate feedback on service delivery and identify opportunities to improve our employees’ experience.
• Support key Diversity & People processes ensuring appropriate advice is provided and processes are implemented and delivered with a consistent and customer focused outcome.
• Provide support to People Partnering team for all organisational change activities
• Develop and sustain effective relationships with line managers to build their capability to lead and manage their people and ensure that fit for purpose D&P services are provided to them and consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Provide proactive, accurate, and solutions focused advice on the interpretation and application of Diversity & People policies, procedures, awards, employment conditions and entitlements.
• Manage more complex queries from the People Services inbox.
• Act as support point of contact for more complex enquires related to Workday, for both leaders and team members.

About You

What you will bring to the role:

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of ER/IR including award interpretation, employment legislation in an industrially complex environment, and people “know-how” with regards to managing cases and coaching leaders to manage people
• Previous experience as part of, or within a shared service HR function would be highly regarded
• A commercial focus with the ability to clarify needs and expectations of your stakeholders to deliver appropriate solutions
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of process improvement, project delivery and supporting organisational change (desired)
• A confident, can-do attitude and willingness to enable stakeholders to effectively do their job
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing, face to face and on the phone
• Extremely high level of attention to detail and outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to plan work programs, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, HRM or IR and/or suitable and transferable workplace experience
• You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
