Contract: 18 months (Possibility of extension)
Salary: £40 p/h (Umbrella)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift Pattern: Full time  

DUTIES   

• Produce / check appropriate documentation to enable the progression of bridge and structures maintenance repairs.
• Undertake site visits to collect and record details required to confirm the scope/details of maintenance works required.
• Check estimates from the Contractor to ensure work has been interpreted correctly and will be undertaken in a cost-effective manner.
• Oversee investigation and design work where necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working in a similar sector or organisation.
• Demonstrable experience within a Maintenance Engineer role or equivalent.
• Extensive experience/knowledge of working on highway structures.
• Knowledge /experience of the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Well-managed Highway Infrastructure and other related and relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Understanding of relevant health & safety legislation and codes of practice (including the CDM regulations 2015).
• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is advantageous.
• Must have a full UK driving license.
