Software Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Software Engineer and member of our UK Agile Scrum team, you will collaborate with our global team working on market leading fleet telematics products and will help design, develop, test, deliver and maintain solutions.

You will help us in our mission to solve our customers’ problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, enhancing and maintaining Teletrac Navman software solutions.
• Assuming technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process; take on tasks in coding, testing, requirements gathering, design, delivery and support of new and existing features and applications.
• Assisting with analysing requirements for new products
• Ensuring a strong focus on delivery, execution and the customer

Essential Skills:

• Confident, enthusiastic, and able to demonstrate initiative and an ability to adapt to change.
• Programming Languages preferred combinations are: Java and C# OR Java and React OR Java and C# and React
• Worked in Agile teams/processes
• Ability to understand/learn new languages, technologies and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills – with the ability to carefully analyse and drive to root cause

Desirable:

• .NET Development, Experience of SOAP, Restful, XML, Json and Linq
• Knowledge in designing and implementing micro services architecture and using message queue engine or streaming platform (e.g. RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka, Kinesis, etc).
• Knowledge in the location services, GIS, or geospatial industries
