Role Profile:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for monitoring the onsite delivery of a Full Fibre Network FFN deployment project within the city of Preston. You will be responsible for both the civil and fibre construction activities. The Build Assurance Engineer will ensure that Telent is carrying out site operations on time, to specification within Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental guidelines, street works legislation and as per contract works information parts 1&2

Typical Deliverables:​​​​​​​

• Ensure and monitor effective site operations and coordination of works compliant to the CityFibre specifications. NRSWA and Health & Safety requirements.
• Coach and support our build partners to ensure that any ‘blockers’ to the delivery plan are highlighted and escalated appropriately.
• Ensure all work on site is carried out to adequate standards as stated in contractual specification by conducting site audits
• Ensure all post installation/as-built documents are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project and client requirements.
• Liaise with the public, dealing with any issues that the network construction activities may have caused.

Business Operations Skills – Experience:

• Utilities Supervisory Experience, NRSWA qualified with Highways Experience
• Ability to demonstrate experience and working knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Experience of managing contracted engineering works
• Strong communicator with the ability to negotiate suitable outcomes that mitigate project risk.

Business Operations Skills – Qualifications:

• Valid NRSWA Streetworks Supervisor Certification Units 1, 10-16
• Full Driving Licence
• IOSH managing safety or SMSTS
