Position Summary

The Telehealth Coordinator (THC) primary role is to ensure successful engagement and scheduling of the Teladoc Providers. The THC is responsible for coordinating high quality service and enhancing provider engagement via scheduling tools and appropriate methods of communication (email / phone).

The THC t roubleshoots and helps to resolve complex scheduling issues in a timely manner using strong communication, creative problem solving and a passion for high quality customer service. Responsibilities include developing and publishing schedules, monitoring the scheduling tool for provider engagement, outreach to potential providers to gauge interest communicating daily with, providers, and management both in writing and by telephone, providing support and training to Teladoc providers on use of Teladoc systems and processes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide provider scheduling assistance, and support for process and technical issues.
• Continuous monitoring of phone line, voice mail and email boxes and ensures voice mail messages are returned within department guidelines. Handles escalated calls appropriately.
• Performs duties with professionalism, exhibits outstanding customer service, and operates with sensitivity to the diverse landscape of healthcare at all times.
• Maintains a thorough and accurate daily log of all interactions, mainly in Excel.
• Communicates professionally and effectively with all contacts whether the customer is internal or external.
• Utilizes attention to detail skills at a high level.
• Maintains confidentiality of issues and adheres to all applicable regulations, including HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements/Preferences

• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to deal calmly with difficult situations.
• Ability to obtain, understand and analyze information from sources such as forms, data s and communications from members and providers.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels including members, providers, team members, and management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strict adherence in maintaining confidential information.
• Ability to multi-task with regular interruptions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• Time management focused and skilled at organizing and prioritizing work.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and advanced keyboarding skills for multi-tasking.
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changes in work environment.

Education Requirements

• Customer service and/or scheduling experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree, a plus
• Experience in health care, a plus.
• Bi-lingual, a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $21.00-24.00 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2023 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
