Description:
These positions are open due to a very large backlog of fraud cases that need to be reviewed.
This class of investigators will support the Global Compliance Operations and Risk Operations (GCOR Ops) team with a fraud investigation remediation.
Financial Crimes Investigators for GCOR Ops team responsible for reviewing, analyzing and identifying indicators of potential money laundering, terrorist financing activity, fraud and elder abuse and financial exploitation from information sources such as surveillance / monitoring alerts, open source media reports and internal referrals. Responsibilities include concise documentation of financial crlme review results and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR-SF or SAR-DI) in accordance with US laws, the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act and/or state reporting to Adult Protective Services and local law enforcement. This position also requires the ability to apply knowledge of financial crimes requirements to the diverse businesses of a large financial institution that includes US and international banking services and an institutional and retail broker/dealer.

Highly analytical, organized and possess decision making skills related to the filing of a Suspicious Activity Report and appropriate escalation to management, law enforcement, regulators or recommending the closing of a client relationship.
Knowledge of and ability to apply knowledge of regulatory/compliance risk management and financial crimes related requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of and proficiency in the use of systems, technology and/or case management.
Flexible with the ability to adapt to change and take initiative to complete job requirements while balancing competing workload requirements including priority of case assignment and pressures of deadlines.
Proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word
