Front-End Software Engineer – ReactJS

Location : New York, NY

Description :

You will work in an individual contributor role helping to grow and adapt the product to leverage next generation User Interface technologies that leverage modern JavaScript libraries such as ReactJS.

You will work with a team of engineers on specific features on the frontend of various Platforms. Working closely with Product and Design, you will bring feature ideas from a concept to production.

Over time, you will become intimately familiar with our codebase as you rotate work on different features of the platform.

In this role, you will draw upon your experience with frontend application design and React to help guide the architecture of the application’s front-end.

Responsibilities :

• Work with product managers and designers on building tickets for new features
• Develop features in collaboration with other engineers on the team
• Help to manage the production environments
• Respond quickly and effectively to issues and requests as they arise
• Communicate clearly on progress of tickets in JIRA, and manage workflow in Git.
• Actively participate in decisions and conversations concerning the larger-scale design of the system as a whole
• Participate in peer code reviews.

Qualifications :

• BS in computer science or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL (including experience launching, maintaining, and scaling production applications)
• Experience building consumer facing products
• Experience building React applications and designing frontend architecture
• Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services products (including EC2, ECS / ECR, S3)
• Preferred experience with Ruby on Rails applications and working with APIs
• Expertise in GraphQL is a plus
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with other developers
• Ability and readiness to interface with non-technical co-workers on issues and new features.
