As a Software Developer, you will work within a supportive team in an agile continuous delivery organization. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to help deliver product capabilities and features to our groundbreaking cloud-based product Tehama.
You will be working to develop brand new cloud-first solutions including the automation of infrastructure within a funded start-up/scale-up organization; you get to work with cutting edge technologies and frameworks. What you will be working on
Working within the Virtual Desktops Team
Working as part of an agile development team, developing new features of our new cloud based solution with quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with teams across the company to solve deployment, monitoring and diagnostic capability.
Design, build, and maintain high traffic, scalable services.
End-to-End ownership of what you deliver, including crafting technical specs, writing readable and extensible code,runbooks and post-release metrics.
Investigate and address issues with performance, scalability, and maintainability.
You will be contributing to the engineering strategy and development, operation, and maintenance of the microservices in our application.
You will move fast: look for new ideas, quickly prototype, test and move to production.
You’ll be working with development and product management teams to define user story acceptance criteria, break down complex stories into tasks, estimates, plan and then deliver.
Developing & deploying in modern multi-cloud environments
Interacting with architects, UX, and Ops and participating in architecture, design, and review meetings.
Collaborating with cross-functional team members on all aspects of development and process.
Reliability Status Clearance Requirements:
As this role supports Federal Government clients requiring Reliability Level Clearance, eligible candidates require Reliability Level clearance OR would need to be eligible to obtain Reliability Clearance (5 year background check).
Who we are looking for
Ideally 1+ years of experience developing and/or maintaining microservice deployments and builds in the cloud through co-op or internships
Knowledge and hands on experience with Linux, cloud technologies (one of AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
Experience with CI/CD concepts and Jenkins deployment
Languages / Technologies: Bash, Python, Node.js, yaml, JSON
An asset to have Typescript, Javascript, HTML and other web technology knowledge
Academic knowledge of Relational Database (MySQL or Postgres)
You are self-motivated & take ownership of your work (both independently & with peers)
Creative problem solver with willingness to learn & grow
Willingness to learn latest cloud platforms and technologies
Education
Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering or College Equivalent
