Teesside University Specialist Mentoring Service team is looking for self-motivated and engaged individuals, with experience of providing mentoring or professional guidance support to students.

Responsibilities will include working with students on a one-to-one basis addressing the barriers to learning from a diagnosed Dyability; for example, coping with anxiety and stress, transition to university, time management, and supporting student retention on the course. Staff will be responsible for allocating ongoing session with the students and managing the associated admin with the role.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
