About Teenage Helpline
Teenage Helpline is an online mentoring service run by young people to be used by young people. The aims of Teenage Helpline are to provide the first stepping-stone for young people who may need to get professional support, but do not feel comfortable seeking this support for themselves. Not only this, but we also provide mentoring for young people who do not need professional support, but who need a little extra attention and support to help them cope with other personal issues.
About the role
As a Recruitment Lead at Teenage Helpline you will be working closely with senior managers to assist with all the operational aspects of finding and bringing the best talent to Teenage Helpline.
You will play a pivotal role in every part of the recruitment process; initially assisting with the creation and publishing of volunteer adverts, ensuring they are engaging and to a high quality. You will also assist with the screening of applications and following up with candidates to provide feedback. Alongside this you will be responsible managing the recruitment needs of one of the teams within Teenage Helpline, ensuring the grasp the needs and requirements for roles within the team by attending scheduled meetings with managers.
As a youth focused charity, we provide a lot of development opportunities for our volunteers, and you will have the opportunity to expand this role as you desire.
We are looking for a self-motivated, independent person with a proactive nature who can easily develop strong relationships with prospective volunteers and also key stakeholders within the charity itself. You will be communicating with various internal and external stakeholders so strong communication skills are essential for this position. We also require excellent time-management and organisational skills as you will be assisting with the management of a busy portfolio of open roles for a variety of teams within Teenage Helpline.
The role is voluntary requiring a minimum of 2 hours per week, therefore, experience is not necessary and is suitable for students or recent graduates. If you are looking to kick start your career in recruitment while supporting a great cause this is an ideal opportunity for you.
