The Trust are seeking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer, to join the in-house Education Welfare Service to promote positive attitudes towards regular academy attendance across the Trust schools, to improve attendance levels and to support the requirements of the Trust schools to fulfil their legal obligations.

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic individuals to promote good attendance and punctuality and to support the families of children that attend our schools, in ensuring that their child attends school regularly and on time, and to help them overcome any other barriers they may face.

The successful candidates will monitor the attendance of children and provide support to families where attendance falls below a good level. The EWO will also support families in a wide variety of other ways, including helping parents extend learning at home, involving parents in the life of the school and supporting families by working with different agencies through the Early Help process.
