Integrations Engineer
Job Purpose:
In this role the Integrations Engineer will work with the Digital Technology engineering team, Tecnica Group North America stakeholders, Tecnica Group Global and 3rd party partners to ensure robust integrations across systems to facilitate efficient, timely and complete data availability and transfer between systems and solutions. Responsible for participating in requirements analysis and decomposition, internal testing and the documentation of same for the application-application integrations. Primary responsibilities will also include troubleshooting existing integrations and providing technical support to the development team.The position will work cross-functionally with business units, product managers, business operations and external stakeholders to build solutions.
The Integrations Engineer will need to work with various legacy and new systems and technologies to ensure the right data is in the right place at the right time to facilitate end-user and system needs.
Furthermore, this role will take the technical program lead in the future AS400 to SAP ERP migration due to data migration and new data integrations being key success factors.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for participating in requirements analysis and decomposition
Create and maintain technical design documents and requirements including workflow design of companysAPIs and integrations
Participate in design and planning meetings
Participate in internal testing of integrations.
Primary responsibilities will also include troubleshooting existing integrations and providing technical support to the development team.
Lead partner/stakeholder onboarding by providing required authorization, access and specification documentation to APIs
Resolve and manage requests from API customers regarding programming interfaces, including inbound/outbound APIs call using required tool and technologies during customer/partner development and maintenance phase
Lead the technical workstream for AS400 to SAP migration by working with SMEs across different areas of the business (North America, Global), as well as partnering with program leads from 3rd party vendor and Global organization
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Pre-SAP Program & Implementation:
Partner with Engineering team, IT Ops, Business Units, Operations, Global IT and 3rd party vendors/partners to refine and expand integration capabilities with current AS400 ERP
eCommerce platforms
Salsify PIMS
Demand/Supply data sharing with SpA
3PL providers
EDI mapping
Landscape current data sharing and integration capabilities and identify opportunities/gaps to address business & technical needs
Support prioritization of opportunities and create roadmap including pre/post SAP implementation priorities
Canada data feed/integrations evolution & needed changes related to ProV to AS400 migration
Build/evolve integrations with the future of MuleSoft and SAP in mind
SAP Program
Lead the technical workstream for Tecnica Group NA for both As-is and To-be Discovery phases
Partner with appropriate technical SMEs as needed
Partner with SpA (Global Tecnica Group) project team
Partner with Accenture project team
Identify opportunities to enhance, consolidate or create new integrations/data sharing for to-be state
Create appropriate technical documentation
Lead the technical workstream for Tecnica Group NA for SAP development & implementation
Partner with appropriate technical SMEs as needed
Partner with SpA project team
Partner with Accenture project team
Create appropriate technical documentation
Ensure pre-SAP integrations are enhanced or continue to work as designed
Utilize SAP conversion to drive additional API integrations
Post-SAP Implementation:
Ensure desired integrations with SAP are working as designed and evolve as needed
Develop new integrations with SAP or other systems as needed based on partner/vendor evolution, new partner/vendors, new capabilities/data needing to be integrated
Ensure/protect North American needs on global platform; continue to work closely with SPA team
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in integrations and maintaining APIs
Advanced skills in JSON, XML, XSD, SOAP, Restful API design and architecture, Java, JavaScript, and Webservices
Experience with Mulesoft
Experience with SAP integrations
Strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems, excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to do well in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience preferred
Working knowledge of SOAP UI tool, POSTman Tool for analyzing and resolving support issues
