As an HR Generalist at TechnologyAdvice, you will support our international employees in APAC and the UK and serve as the resident HR expert for our global organization. This is a new position within the region that will have a unique opportunity to build, shape, and establish what the future of HR and culture looks like as we grow and expand locally.
We are seeking an independent, skilled HR professional with at least 3 years of experience in Australia and strong familiarity with local employment laws and regulations. Bonus points if you have experience in other geo’s including Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Our ideal candidate will have prior demonstrable experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment balancing people and business strategy and execution.

How You’ll Contribute…

• Coach and guide leaders at all levels to develop team members and provide professional development opportunities
• Serve as the in-country HR. payroll, and compliance expert for all people and culture related activities
• Support recruitment efforts in region by posting jobs, vetting and interviewing candidates, and onboarding new hires
• Provides support and guidance to the US Human Resources team when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
• Offboard exiting employees and conduct exit interviews

• Facilitate employee relations efforts, including performance conversation or escalations as necessary
• Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Assist with payroll and benefit administration and compliance
• Execute cultural activities across our international regions
• Maintain compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Provides oversight to remote team operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Team…
This role would be a member of our global HR and Recruitment team and would experience consistent support from our corporate US-based HR team as well as members of the APAC leadership team. This role would report to the Vice President of Human Resources.

• Experience gained in a global organization with employees across multiple time zones.
• Understanding of basic local laws and regulations in relation to employment matters and hiring
• Comfortable working independently with a problem-solving mindset.
• Confident and effective communicator with the ability to build effective working partnerships across all levels of the organization
• Agility and flexibility – affinity towards a fast pace and pivoting to prioritize evolving business needs
• Experience administering or supporting payroll
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with G-Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems, Namely and Greenhouse.
