An opportunity is now available for a Finance Controller to join the team, reporting to the CFO. You will be responsible for producing timely, high quality accurate reports to the Management team and providing structured updates on the performance of the business.

As the company grows there will be opportunities to put your stamp on the role by improving and streamlining processes, driving efficiencies through effective use of the ERP system, developing management information in conjunction with the CFO and having the satisfaction of supporting the growth and success of the company.

You should be comfortable with producing high quality reports within company reporting timelines and ensuring the integrity of the financial systems.

Essential Role Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA or ACCA, first time passes preferred
• Qualified with bid 4 or Mid-tier accountancy firm with minimum 3 Year PQE in industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (ability to communicate financial information to a broad audience)
• Using good judgement and professionalism to build relationships with customers and colleagues
• Ability to use your time wisely and efficiently

• Experience with consolidations and accounting for foreign subsidiaries
• Working knowledge of UK tax requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing monthly accounting requirements to close month end
• Preparation of monthly reporting pack
• Reviewing actual performance vs targets
• Preparation of cash flow forecast and regular monitoring of cash-flow requirements
• Ensuring all balance sheet accounts and fully reconciled
• Support CFO with budgeting and forecasting
• Development of controls appropriate to the size and needs of the business
• Preparation of external audit requirements and manage requests from auditors
• Provision of information for tax reporting and computations
• Review of transactional activities (AR, AP etc)
• Other projects and ad-hoc requirements as directed by CFO
