Techability, Inc Hiring for Coding / Game Design Teachers and Assistants at Remote Full Time

Flexible schedules. You choose the days and times that you are available for this position (Mon-Fri 3pm to 10pm) and we will only assign you classes during those times.

Inspire students in 1st through 9th grades by teaching basic coding, logic, troubleshooting and game design skills. We provide the classroom and curriculum materials – you add the enthusiasm and energy to make the classes even more engaging.

We have entry-level positions with minimal knowledge experience required and training provided! We also have higher-level positions for more experienced applicants.

The Role: We’re looking for positive, energetic instructors who have a passion for gaming and/or coding to enthusiastically teach students in grades 1-9. Students create games using the Unity game engine and Microsoft Visual Studio and C# coding as well as a proprietary online application for more entry-level students.

Since we work with young children, having a fun, engaging, and patient personality is a plus. You will be responsible for creating an exhilarating atmosphere for young minds to grow, learn and have fun while preparing them for their futures.

Requirements:

• Familiar with Unity 3D Development Platform and C# programming language.

• Enthusiastic, charismatic, and energetic teaching style

• Ability to teach in an online classroom setting while keeping students excited about the material and the class. – Make classes exciting.

• This is an optional extra-curricular activity for these kids. The classes must be fun!.

Other Useful Skills:

• Knowledge of Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).

• Experience with children in a classroom environment.

• Knowledge of 2D or 3D Modeling/Animation Software (Blender, Maya, etc).

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Perform online Zoom video class instruction to students

• Collaborate in developing reward systems to keep students engaged, focused, and enthusiastic about continued learning.

• Maintain communication with parents and students on progress, upcoming events, and feedback on class structure and performance.

• Option to collaborate in developing/revising curriculum

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
