Tech Search Associates Limited Looking for Senior QA Engineer at Barrow-in-Furness Full Time

TSA are proud to be recruiting for an established civil engineering contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior QA Engineer to support in the delivering of a multi million pound project in the region of South Cumbria. Suitable candidates will have a strong major civil engineering employment history and will have worked alongside Tier 1 contractors construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Quality Management Systems, Processes and Policies throughout the Project
• Ensure correct documentation of design changes
• Review Project specific quality requirements and activities and ensure all appropriate processes are in place. Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes.
• Promoting adherence and improvements to quality aspects of the project and provide coaching on the application of QA/QC.
• Assist with internal audit where appropriate 
• Support with compliance and manage Quality Control documentation
• Take ownership of quality issues and driving solutions, empowering those in the team to do the same
• Monitor construction issues and defects and assisting in investigating root cause of defects, liaising with stakeholders to identify and implement suitable solutions and improvements
• Liaise with the Principal Contractors Quality representatives.
• Deputise when required for project specific and Company Quality meetings.
• Effective communication of quality issues between project management and other functions / support services within the project team.

Key Qualifications & Person Spec:

Applicants must have the following to be considered for this role:

• HNC or above in relevant discipline
• CSCS Card 
• ISO or equivalent 
• Environmental & H&S Awareness
• Suitable applicants will be proactive, professional and a strong team player
• Exceptional communication skills
• Experience working on other major civils projects in a similar role
• Up-to-date info on QMS

Job Benefits:

• Outside of IR35 (subject to Assessment)
• £35 p/hour
• £1100 p/month subsistence contribution for those living out of the area
• 5/2 Shift pattern
