Are you an experienced software engineer looking to return to your career following a career break? Tech Returners provides the UK’s only free ‘Your Return to Tech’ programme which is proven to support returners back into the industry through technical and career coaching.

The programme
Our award-winning, ‘Your Return to Tech’ programme involves two weeks of pre-journey induction and 12 weeks of utilising JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will be supported throughout, by our team of knowledgeable and dedicated tech coaches and mentors who collectively hold almost 50 years of combined industry experience.**

We understand that getting back to your career in tech, also means getting back to yourself and regaining confidence. Therefore, during the programme, you will also receive career and mindset management support including growth mindset, confidence building, and interview preparation.

Our Programme Partner

The upcoming November ‘Your Return to Tech’ programme run by Tech Returners has partnered with the UK’s leading coding bootcamp, Northcoders, to provide employment opportunities after completing the programme.

The programme is fully funded by Skills Bootcamps – part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. This means that all places on the programme are free for returners.

Once the programme has ended, Northcoders will provide everyone with a guaranteed interview! Interviews may result in securing employment within the Northcoders engineering team or a further opportunity to interview with a broad network of partners, consisting of approximately 400 businesses. In the past, NC have placed people at BBC, Jaguar Land Rover, Money Supermarket, Wejo, Wren Kitchens, Disney+, Sony, Deloitte to name a few hiring partners

Are you eligible?

• You will need experience of a role in software engineering with hands-on coding, had a career break and be committed to returning to technology via the ‘Your Return to Tech’ programme.
• You must have a National Insurance number
• You must be aged 19 years old or over
• You must have right to work in the UK and be based in England for the duration of the programme
• Must either be a UK resident or hold a valid visa that allows full-time work in the UK
• You will need to take ownership and have the curiosity to work on different projects collaboratively and independently
• You must have not taken part in a funded skilled bootcamp programme in the past 12 months
