Tech Returners is partnering with Booking.com again to recruit 16 software developers to their engineering team.

Are you an experienced software engineer looking to return to your career following a career break?

Would you welcome the opportunity to upskill in Software Development Fundamentals and Backend technologies, receive career readiness and confidence coaching, and then be supported to secure a role with Booking.com?

Tech Returners provides the UK’s only free and accessible Your Return to Tech programme for individuals returning to a software engineering role following a career break.

The programme involves training and coaching from our expert team over 8-weeks using interactive digital remote learning platforms where you will be up-skilled in the latest technologies including Java (Backend).

Interested?

This programme starts on 6 December 2021. Interviews for permanent roles with Booking.com will commence upon completion of the programme on the week commencing Monday 7 March 2022.

Am I eligible?

To qualify for this programme and a role with Booking.com, you’ll need to:

• Have previous experience of being a software developer/engineer (hands-on coding)
• Have had a period of time away from your career (including maternity & paternity leave)
• Be looking to return to technology with Booking.com via the Your Return to Tech programme

What are we looking for?

• An outward thinker, and the desire willingness to learn more.  
• A team player with an incisive approach to problem-solving

Successful applicants will need to be within commuting distance of Manchester as Booking.com is expecting to adopt hybrid working; a combination of working from home with regular travel to the head office in Manchester a few days a week.

Whilst we’re looking for mid-level software developers for the programme, Booking.com are also looking to develop engineers into senior level and therefore we welcome applications for the programme from individuals who are considering returning as senior developers/engineers too.
