Senior Network Administrator

Job Description

Tech Hero of Central Florida is in search of a Network Administrator in Orlando to manage external customers’ Information Technology needs. Must have knowledge of servers, workstations, desktop and laptop hardware configuration, network equipment configuration, and trouble-shooting skills.

Responsibilities include:

· Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware, software, peripheral and network malfunctions such as desktop/server components, laptops, network equipment, mobile devices.

· Travel to customer sites for service and preventive maintenance on computer and network equipment.

· Install, setup and ensure proper operation of information technology, such as work stations, network equipment, servers and mobile devices.

· Monitor, maintain and ensure proper operation of LAN, WLAN and other network systems and servers.

· Perform general user administration activities such as establishing and maintaining user accounts and profiles, passwords, IP addresses, designated programs and systems.

· Perform asset management operations such as updating inventory, documentation, and technical specifications information.

· Act as customer liaison and help drive customer issues to resolution. Communicate with site personnel, vendors and various outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns.

· Build and foster strong relationships with customers.

· Educate customers on the latest corporate initiatives and products.

· Present and maintain a professional image at all times.

Software & Hardware Knowledge Requirements:

· LAN/WAN design, implementation, and management

· Firewall configuration and installation

· Virtual Private Network Configuration

· Windows Server: 2008 through 2019

· Active Directory and Group Policy

· Windows Clients: 7 through 10

· Workstation & Server preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair

· Office 365/Exchange Online

· Exchange: 2003 through 2019

· Outlook: 2003 through 2019

· VMWare vSphere Installation, Configuration and Management

· Network Printers & Scanners

Required Skills:

· A+ or Network+ Certification

· Microsoft MCSA or MCP Certification

· VMWare VCA Certification

· 3-5 years of experience supporting Windows Domain environments and medium to large networks

· University or Technical School Degree in an information technology related field

Desired Skills:

· Microsoft MCSE or VMware VCP

· 5 or more years working in IT field with emphasis on customer service skills

Environment:

· May be a high availability/mission critical account where system outages may occur.

· Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers’ business.

· Must be willing to travel for short term assignments, as required.

· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
