Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of “what if” scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing….

As a Cost Accountant, you are responsible for;

• Assisting with annual cost rolls.
  • Assist with cost center rates calculations and review with local finance and ops teams

B. Assisting with material burden calculation and review with local finance and ops teams.

C. Assisting with annual budget review and effects it has on cost center rates with local teams.

• Daily interim costing/marking and releasing costs
• Assist with management report-out for cost roll during cost roll rounds.
• Work as business partner with Operations and Product Management.

• Assist with footprint analysis to determine optimal manufacturing location for products.
• Ad-hoc projects and analysis for Operations and Product management teams.

• Must be willing to develop high level of understanding of:

• Products
• Processes
• Business climate
• Develop strong global network

• Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues.
• Margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability.
• Comparison of actual costs to estimates and analysis of variances.

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or another related field
• At least 5+ yrs. of Cost Accounting experience for a large manufacturing company.
• Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of costs.
• Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and management skills
