T&D Metal Products Hiring for Accountant Job at Watseka, IL Full Time

This position will report to the CFO and will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, production and purchase variance analysis, and preparation of annual operating budget. This position offers opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely preparation and presentation of accurate monthly and year-end financial statements.
• Develop and maintain monthly general ledger account analyses.
• Manage accounts receivable collections and accounts payable coordinator positions.
• Preparation of annual operating and capital expenditure budget.
• Work with production supervisor’s to develop annual plant operating budget and monthly production forecasts.
• Review and explain standard purchase and production cost variances.
• Day-to-day management of accounting functions, including payroll, A/P, A/R and cash management.
• Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Oversee the accounting operations of divisions and/or subsidiary entities, as they pertain to transaction-processing operations, and accounting policies and procedures.
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in accounting.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing as a plant accountant or related finance position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the recognition to seek resources as needed.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently on a variety of assignments with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills.
