HR GENERALIST
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist who excels at the basics and has the drive and ability to grow into an HR Manager role within TC Transcontinental. The right candidate will be good at problem solving and leveraging resources to streamline and automate processes. This role is critical to helping us preserve all that is good about our culture, while helping us evolve and prepare for continued growth at TC Lenexa.
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing a broad range of HR support regarding talent acquisition, employee relations, onboarding and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, policies, and employee records. This role will report to the Senior HR Manager and is a key partner to the business, working to diagnose issues, recommend, develop, and implement appropriate HR programs and processes which drive positive business results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist the Sr HR Manager with the implementation of HR strategic initiatives to support business objectives in line with our values.
• Promote the development of employees by building strong relationships and becoming a trusted resource.
• Lead the full-cycle talent acquisition process for TC Lenexa, including onboarding of new employees.
• Partner with front line leadership in establishing high standards and levels of accountability for themselves and their employees, driving the performance management process.
• Provide coaching in all areas of HR including employee relations, training, HRIS/Timekeeping system, benefits, staffing and workers compensation.
• Utilize HRMS data to analyze trends and metrics to inform business decisions.
• Provide HR policy guidance for all TC Lenexa employees.
• Maintain accurate record keeping such as employee files, attendance records, etc.
• Assist with cultural improvement initiatives, wellness activities, and community engagement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations pertaining to day-to-day management of employees.
• Proactively identify risks and propose suggestions for effective communication and process improvement.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field; OR equivalent experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist position.
• Experience of recruiting in a manufacturing environment required.
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint with strong background in running reports and analyzing the data.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exemplify professional behavior and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
• Self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction.
• Flexibility in work hours.
