About this opportunity
The Financial Analyst is an early in career position that will perform financial analysis and general accounting functions for the TC Transcontinental Packaging sector. This position will work closely within the Packaging finance team, procurement team, and plant controllers. Major areas of responsibility will be consolidating and reporting of monthly results, preparation of management reporting deck, re-forecasts and annual plans for the sector, assist in the monthly financial close for head office, assisting in procurement data tracking and reporting.
What you will do

• Support preparation of monthly senior management team presentation, including preparing financial reports and analysis; quarterly re-forecasts and annual plan
• Support basic accounting functions (account reconciliation, journal entries, vehicle program management) for Packaging sector
• Oversee tracking of key sector priorities: cost savings, working capital (aged inventory and bad debt), benchmarking
• Ad-Hoc finance group projects
• Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

What you have to offer

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• 4-year degree in Finance related Field; accounting background preferable
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn various systems quickly
• Excellent organizational, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
