Tayco Hiring for Production Team Member 2 at Etobicoke, ON Full Time

Tayco is currently looking for three full time and ambitious Wood Products Assemblers to join our Cabinetry team. We are looking for someone who is aligned with our core values of Ownership, Progressive, Efficient and Enjoyable Experiences.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Wood Products Assembler is responsible for assembling desks, credenzas, laterals, file cabinets, hutches, bookcases, storage units and affixing hardware in accordance with standard operating procedures. They are required to ensure quality standards of products while adhering to Health & Safety and Tayco policies on a consistent basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Recommended exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• Is able to operate hand tools (drills, saw, pneumatic guns, etc.)
• Is able to understand, speak, read and write English. Must be able to understand verbal and written work instructions, which are typically routine, as accuracy and attention to detail is necessary. In addition, must be able to speak, read and understand health and safety procedures, document work, train others, problem solve in teams, learn new work processes and participate in continuous learning and weekly team meetings
• Is able to work independently or as a part of a team.
• Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with Tayco’s policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping standard in keeping with Health and Safety Standards.
• Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.

Benefits

• Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
