What You’ll Do as a Data Engineer:

• Assist in developing large-scale data structures and pipelines to ingest, move, transform and integrate data to help generate insights and meet reporting needs
• Document requirements and translate into proper system specifications
• Execute and coordinate requirements management and improve processes
• Responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing data and analytics platform.
• Building required data pipelines for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using Cloud and SQL technologies.
• Support incidents, investigating, identifying the root cause of the problem, and fixing it
• Identifying and implementing internal process improvements, including re-designing the applications for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
• Communicate effectively across multiple departments
• Ability to interact, communicate, and present with both business and technical teams.
• A self-starter who loves data and who enjoys spotting the trends in it!

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field
• 2+ years of experience with SQL Server
• 2+ year of experience in T-SQL with ability to write complex logic using SQL as part of ETL and effectively perform complex data analysis and discovery
• 2+ years of experience developing solutions in Microsoft Azure
• 2+ years of development experience in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL delivery solutions

• Demonstrate strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to self-motivate and meet deadlines
• Intense desire to learn
• Highly Adaptive and flexible to change

Preferred:

• Experience in multiple programming languages (R, Java, Python, etc.)
• Experience in API data integrations into Azure or on-premise databases

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard office supplies. While working in the office, the setting is a standard office environment with low to moderate noise levels and temperature controlled.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Employee is required to sit at desk for majority of the workday with occasional standing and walking within office environment. The employee is required to use hands and fingers for writing and typing, handle or feel office tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally crouch or kneel. Pay: $80,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year
