Director, Retail Sales – Private Brands

Position Overview

The Director of Retail Sales – Private Brands will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the sales cycle for select retailers across the country in the Fresh and Frozen Categories. You will work to manage key accounts and foster strong relationships with our retail partners. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, can nurture new opportunities, and can leverage successful existing relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the sales cycle for private label products in the Fresh and Frozen product categories.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for our key accounts.
• Build and maintain winning relationships with key retail partners, including negotiation of terms and agreements.
• Elevate sales execution through our internal processes through effective communication and responsiveness.
• Manage sales efforts including negotiation, reviewing sales analytics and monitoring of contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure the successful launch and promotion of private brand products.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
• Drive the development of innovative sales and marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of at least 7+ years in food sales and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with private label products preferred.
• Strong understanding of the Fresh and Frozen categories in the retail industry.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and people skills, as well as excellent listening skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strategic thinking and a results-oriented mindset.
• Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in using sales and data analytics tools.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
