In this role you will be responsible for developing and supporting workforce planning with strategic and creative campaigns to recruit diverse and leading talent. You will act as an ambassador for the department while ensuring excellent service delivery throughout the recruitment cycle. You will act as a mentor to recruiters as well as other team members. Demonstration of innovation and outside of the box thinking is a must.

Period of Appointment

Fixed term for a period of 2 years

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight – flexible options available.

Duties

• Develop, implement and evaluate an agency wide recruitment and related workforce planning strategy. This includes working in collaboration with Outputs to create a sustainable and contemporary recruitment model to meet the specific needs and future demands of Outputs.
• Lead the design, development and implementation of innovative selection and assessment activities which are aligned to best practice methodologies and based on evidence and research.
• Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with peers, senior managers and internal / external stakeholders and work collaboratively to develop and implement tailored strategies and solutions that are flexible, adaptable and ensure the effective use of the Agency’s workforce.
• Provide authoritative, strategic and innovative advice to stakeholders on complex recruitment issues and practices in consideration to the legislative and industrial framework.
• Extract data and conduct analysis on patterns to provide basis to develop recruitment strategies for Outputs.
• Consultation and collaboration with key areas within the Department in all elements of development and implementation which includes building a theme and brand for the Department’s recruitment strategy.
• Develop and implement creative solutions to maximise marketing opportunities for the Agency and manage external providers to ensure that contractual requirements and business objectives are met.
• Create a sustainable and contemporary recruitment model to meet demands of Outputs that contributes to and supports the achievement of Department objectives, and to ensure the recruitment function is a valued business partner.
• Work collaboratively with the HR Recruitment team to implement changes and work to build knowledge and capacity within the team.
• Promote an environment of continuous improvement, including leading, mentoring and supporting the team members and other recruitment stakeholders during a period of change.
• Perform any other assigned duties at the classification level that are within the employee’s competence and training.

Desirable Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in a communications, marketing or human resource related discipline.
• Current driver’s licence.
