The Team:

As a member of the IT Client Services section, the IT Officer (Service Centre):

• Provides first point of contact support and resolution up to second level support to clients for IT Client Services including:
  • PC hardware and software installation
  • Incident resolution
  • Call logging
  • Follow-up to completion
  • Client satisfaction
• Escalates issues through local IT Support teams as required.

The Role:

• Provide first and some second level support for the Department of Health (DoH) hardware, software and systems including the logging of calls, incident resolution and when required escalation.
• Provide administration and support services for IT systems and associated applications and hardware.
• Undertake network support tasks and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN environments.
• Provide technical advice to clients, vendors, and IT Client Services staff.

Position Features:

• Some regular out of hours work or oncall may be required to meet specific needs or deadlines
• Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required

Details of Appointment:

Fixed term, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 15/07/2023. Hours for the IT Service Centre may be extended during this period to cover 7am – 7pm. The ability to work a 7.6 hour day in any of the rostered groups is essential.

Base Salary: $ 58,652 – $ 77,548 per annum + 10.5% superannuation

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• A tertiary or recognised vocational qualification in a relevant discipline
• Relevant IT industry experience and certification
• Current Driver’s Licence
