Period of Appointment

There are two (2) roles available.

1 x permanent full-time flexible role

1 x permanent part-time role (minimum of 0.40FTE – 29.40 hours per fortnight and up to 0.60FTE – 44.10 hours per fortnight)

Duties

• Prepare, verify and/or process revenue, expenditure, corporate card and accounting transactions in accordance with Government and Departmental financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Assist with the daily reconciliation of the Department’s bank accounts, including the expenditure and collections accounts.
• Provide financial support services to internal clients and liaise with external clients on financial matters, including the investigation and resolution of financial operation process and/or transactional queries.
• Creation and maintenance of the creditor and debtor master files within the Financial Management Information System.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information through the application of appropriate internal control procedures.
• Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of existing financial operation business processes and practices.

Essential Requirements

As a result of a risk assessment process, the Head of Agency gave consideration to where vaccination is a necessary control to protect the health and safety of workers and the community and therefore it has been determined that prior to appointment to these duties a person is to provide evidence that they are vaccinated against the disease known as COVID-19. This risk assessment determined that all workers in the Department are required to be fully vaccinated or provide an approved exemption. Desirable Requirements

• Experience in the use of Financial Information Management Systems
