Tasmanian Government Hiring for Clinical Midwifery Educator Job at Hobart Full Time

The Role:
The Clinical Midwifery Educator is accountable for the design, implementation, assessment and evaluation of education programs and providing midwifery expertise related to educational issues in meeting the strategic priorities of the Nursing and Midwifery workforce and the Organisation.

In this role the Clinical Midwifery Educator:

• Leads safe and quality midwifery care through the advancement of evidenced based midwifery practice in an area of clinical and professional speciality utilising a lifelong learning and development framework.

• Plans, assesses, implements and comprehensively evaluates educational programs to ensure they align with the needs of the Organisation and midwifery workforce.

• Works within a Practice Development framework that fosters research, the implementation of evidenced based knowledge and person-centred care.

• Applies high level professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing, midwifery and multidisciplinary stakeholders to enact education and development strategies for nursing and midwifery practice and the Organisation.

The Area:

• This position will work as part of the broader nursing and midwifery education team for Hospitals South, holding the portfolio of midwifery
• This position is based in the Hobart area

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day work position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

• Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $102,080 – $108,528 per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service Agreement) 2019
  

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• Professional Development Allowance of up to $750 per annum
