We are recruiting for an Education Coordinator to join our growing team supporting looked after children and young people and those with SEND.
Who we are
There are over 2 million vulnerable children in the UK. 1.6 million of these have no established recognised form of education support to meet their needs. Targeted Provision was created to ensure that young people who are not receiving the support they need from mainstream education are catered for. We work with schools and local authorities to provide specialist tutors for Looked After Children and those with SEND. We also support mentoring and engagement/re-engagement for young people in need of Alternative Provision.
We believe that with the right support and role model in their lives, every child can grow in confidence and succeed in learning.
Role Description:
This role centres around arranging specialist tuition support for vulnerable young people across the country. This includes working directly with local authorities, parents / carers, and other stake holders to ensure the best possible outcome for the young people referred to us. Young people are referred to our service because they are not able to access mainstream education. This is due to a variety of reasons, including but not limited to; Special Education Needs and Disabilities, they are looked after and have recently moved to a location where a school place is not readily available, they have emotional, behavioural or mental health needs.
It is then our job to ensure they are not left without any education by providing them with specialist tuition.
