TAQA Hiring for Industrial Placement Student – Finance Job at Aberdeen, Scotland Full Time

TAQA is looking for a Industrial Placement Student to join the Joint Venture/Asset Accounting Team for a duration of 12 months based in Aberdeen.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The role will be to provide accounting support to Joint Venture/Asset Accounting Team.

The successful student will gain the following:

• Working within the Finance team based in Aberdeen and supported by experienced colleagues, the placement student will have the opportunity to acquire considerable accounting & industry knowledge through working closely with others.
• Work with experienced Accountants
• The student can also support the team with other activities which will expand their knowledge and experience of the Oil and Gas industry and the accounting workplace.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Assist with preparation of Budget and reforecast data
• Process Operated & non Operated Joint Venture billings
• Preparation of monthly tariff invoices
• Preparation of monthly accruals
• Preparation of monthly management and partner reports
• Preparation of key account reconciliations
• Support Logistics POB Recoveries process
• Processing reallocation journals, correction journals & Year – Month Indicator updates, where necessary
• Assist with the ongoing maintenance of master data within Oracle
• Preparation of JV related 3rd party recharges
• Assist with updates to Vendor Master File
• Provide general support to the Joint Venture Accountants

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Analytical with a high level of accuracy / attention to detail, good administration skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Ability to be proactive, pragmatic and deliver results

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently undertaking an Accounting and Finance or Business Degree
• Higher subjects to include English and Maths

LOCATION

This position will be based at TAQA House, Prime Four Business Park, Kingswells, Aberdeen, AB15 8PU. However, TAQA operates an Agile Working policy allowing individuals the ability to find an optimum balance between home/office working and flexibility on when and where contracted hours are worked
