As the Refrigeration & Production Manager, you will ensure that DMI ammonia-based refrigeration system is fully operational and in constant compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements; ensure the development and implementation of a effective PSM program. You will oversee and plan proactive maintenance and preventative maintenance of production equipment. Additional responsibilities include ….

• Initiate, implement, and manage the plant refrigeration maintenance program based on best practices in the frozen food industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Maintain an effective/complaint PSM program for DMI.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state environmental regulations and environmental reporting requirements.
• Ensure that maintenance staff are properly trained and equipped, to achieve the mission in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
• Supervise the refrigeration, production & facility maintenance department’s budget.
• Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
• Track, analyze and improve key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance.
• Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians.
• Supervise execution of refrigeration and production capital projects to ensure adherence to project timelines and cost projections.
• Analyze production equipment downtime for root cause and proper repairs
• Schedule proactive maintenance for shut down periods with production
• Analyze repeat equipment breakdowns to reduce or eliminate for maximum productivity

Requirements include …

• Prefer Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational and business
• Excellent knowledge of modern principles of maintenance program development and administration in refrigeration
