Role Objective:

The Junior Project Manager/ Project coordinator plays a vital role in the successful end-to-end delivery of a pipeline of centralised energy services for commercial and residential customers in our utility company. You will oversee projects encompassing electricity, hot water, solar, and other emerging energy services. Your responsibilities will include project management, supplier and contractor management, HSE field compliance, liaison with network authorities, auditing and quality assurance, records management, budget management, equipment procurement and installation, and fostering internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Assist Project Manager in manage the entire lifecycle of energy service projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Assist in developing project plans, set project objectives, define deliverables, and establish key milestones.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate project teams, assign tasks, and track performance to achieve project goals.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

• Assist in establishing and maintaining project budgets, regularly reviewing and ing on forecasted expenditures.
• Coordinate with accounting to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and control project costs effectively.

Contracting and Procurement:

• Assist in managing the contracting process, including the preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate external bidding processes to procure goods and services required for project execution.
• Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to facilitate the development and execution of project contracts and agreements.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Conduct regular project meetings with management, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to communicate project status and progress.
• Provide engineering support for development and permitting activities as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as development, asset management, and operations, to ensure a seamless transition of projects from construction to operation.

Quality Control and Compliance:

• Oversee the execution of Utility contracts and ensure compliance with project specifications, ing requirements, and safety policies.
• Work closely with construction managers and quality control personnel to monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Project Documentation and ing:
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, s, correspondence, and financial records.
• Prepare regular project s, including status updates, schedules, and engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, ideally with energy services or utility projects..
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with contracts, bidding processes, and legal agreements.
• Ability to analyze project requirements and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Commitment to promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
