Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP IT Program Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and management of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system within the government organization. As the ERP IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the ERP program, including system configuration, integration, data management, and user support. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of ERP systems in a government context.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the ERP program, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic objectives and business requirements.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, department heads, and users to define the scope and functional requirements of the ERP system, ensuring it meets the specific needs of the government organization.
• Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal IT resources, external vendors, and consultants, to implement and customize the ERP system.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, budget, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring adherence to government guidelines and procurement regulations.
• Oversee the system configuration and integration activities, working closely with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, security, and system performance.
• Manage data migration processes, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to the new ERP platform while maintaining data integrity and continuity.
• Collaborate with the IT team to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training to ensure effective utilization of the ERP system by council staff.
• Monitor and on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management, proactively identifying and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to ERP systems, government IT regulations, and emerging technologies, leveraging this knowledge to optimize the ERP program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional certifications and training in ERP systems are a plus.
• Proven experience as an IT Program Manager or similar role, managing ERP system implementations and upgrades within the government sector.
• Strong technical understanding of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, including system configuration, integration, and data management.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to create and manage project plans, allocate resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Solid understanding of government IT frameworks, procurement processes, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service-level agreements. Knowledge of change management principles and experience in driving user adoption and acceptance of new systems within a government context.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
