What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Obtain CPT and ICD-10 Diagnosis codes and other clinical information for patient treatment
• Determine O.R. time needed for procedures and arrange necessary anesthesia coverage
• Verify physician credentials before scheduling patients
• Coordinate provider clinic and facility schedule
• Support and adhere to HCA Code of Conduct and HIPAA requirements

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High school degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting
• BLS certification may be required
• Knowledge of medical coding and terminology
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Experience in an ambulatory surgery center, hospital, or doctor’s office
