What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Enter and process medication orders using the pharmacy’s operating system
• Handle various types of medication orders, including hand-written sheets, electronic prescriptions, and reorder requests
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, state and federal laws, and company policies and procedures

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• High school diploma or GED
• Registered pharmacy technician in the applicable state
• Previous data entry experience preferred
• 1 year or more of long-term, retail, or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of brand name/generic medications and Sig codes
• Moderate computer and typing skills required
• Basic math skills
