The TAL Risk Academy is a market-leading education program supporting financial advisers. The Advice Education Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day function for the education platform.

This role will support the broader TAL Risk Academy and Licensee team through managing the way TAL Risk Academy works including the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), rolling out the half yearly program launches and producing new ways of developing courses to support financial advisers in the provision of life insurance advice.

The Advice Education Manager will be responsible for the overall operational management of TAL Risk Academy including how courses are managed and delivered, providing updates to TAL Retail Sales team and working alongside the TAL Retail Marketing team on the promotion of courses.

What will you be responsible for?

• The day-to-day management of how TAL Risk Academy is run

• Working closely with the National Sales Development Manager on new opportunities to expand the TAL Risk Academy

• Creating and managing systems and process with the Program Co-ordinator

• On-going management of support materials (such as help guides and product Work Instructions)

• Managing relationships with Marketing to enhance, manage and increase TAL Risk Academy promotion

• Working with the TAL Sales teams to promote upcoming courses

• Managing relationships with Cornerstone and integration partners for the development of TAL Risk Academy in accordance with the Retail Distribution Strategy

• Managing the half-yearly rollouts of the TAL Risk Academy program

• Management and delivery of TAL Risk Academy curriculum and medium updates including articles, online courses and a university unit.

• Managing the way TAL Risk Academy data is accessed around TAL

• Working with the National Sales Development Manager on the continued rollout of TAL Risk Academy within the broader TAL business

• Providing support to the Program Co-ordinator on handling questions and queries

• Managing reporting requirements from TAL Risk Academy

• Managing the external relationship with the LMS provider and escalation of technical queries on LMS

• Managing major system enhancements

• Testing management of core operating systems and integration of TAL’s propriety systems

• Management of system support for TAL Risk Academy

What are we looking for?

Essential

• Understanding of financial advisers and CPD requirements

• Technical, product or administrative experience within the financial services industry

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, in particular PowerPoint to manage the quality of course content

• Ability to translate opportunities identified into improvements which will add value to the TAL Risk Academy, TAL Sales Team and advisers

• Good people and motivational skills

• High attention to detail

• Able to achieve results under pressure and meet pre-determined deadlines

• Good time management and organisation skills

• Excellent computer skills in the development of presentations and online courses

• Understanding of Learning Management Systems

Desirable

• Experience with Project Management Tools

• Knowledge of legislation and regulations applicable to the sale of life insurance and financial services products

• Experience in course design including the use of Articulate
